Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 August 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of QR Kit Studio, operated by DOMU.STUDIO — Dominic Mueller, Mainzer Str. 19, 50678 Cologne, Germany ("QR Kit Studio", "we", "us", or "our").
By accessing or using QR Kit Studio, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.
1. The service
QR Kit Studio is a digital design and download service that lets users create branded QR-code asset kits for links, businesses, profiles, campaigns, locations, review pages or other online destinations.
The service may include:
- creating or configuring a QR code for a selected link or destination;
- designing branded QR materials directly in the online Studio;
- previewing formats before purchase;
- generating downloadable print and social media assets;
- providing files in formats such as PDF, PNG and JPG;
- delivering a personal download or re-download link.
A standard QR Kit Studio purchase currently includes 108 unwatermarked digital assets, based on 36 formats in 3 output types or sizes, as described on the product page or checkout page at the time of purchase.
QR Kit Studio may offer different QR categories or subtypes. Some categories may relate to reviews, Google Reviews, websites, menus, social profiles, gift cards, payments, bookings, contact details or other destinations. Availability may change over time.
The service is primarily intended for business, professional and organisational use. You may only use QR Kit Studio for businesses, organisations, brands, links, profiles, projects or destinations that you own, operate or are authorised to represent.
2. Free design preview and paid download
You may design and preview QR kits in the Studio without creating an account. Preview files may be watermarked, limited, lower resolution or otherwise restricted.
Clean, unwatermarked files are provided only after successful payment.
A purchase gives you access to the digital files described at checkout. It does not create an account, subscription or ongoing service commitment unless explicitly stated.
3. Independent service
QR Kit Studio is an independent service operated by DOMU.STUDIO. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, certified by or officially connected to any third-party platform unless explicitly stated.
All third-party names, logos, trademarks, brands, platform names and service names remain the property of their respective owners. Any references to third-party services are for descriptive purposes only.
If a QR kit points to a third-party platform, you are responsible for ensuring that your use of the QR code, link, graphic and downloadable material complies with that platform’s terms, policies and guidelines, as well as applicable law.
4. Third-party platforms and external destinations
QR codes created with QR Kit Studio may link to third-party websites, platforms or services selected by you. These may include review platforms, map services, websites, social media profiles, payment pages, menus, contact pages, app stores, booking systems or other online destinations.
We do not own, operate, control, host, moderate, edit, verify, approve, reject or remove content published on third-party platforms.
We have no control over whether a third-party URL remains available, whether a platform changes its rules or technical systems, whether a linked page is removed or restricted, whether a QR destination continues to function, or whether third-party content is accurate, lawful, available or suitable for your intended use.
We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, moderation, technical behaviour or decisions of third-party platforms, including decisions regarding URLs, listings, accounts, reviews, profiles, pages, payments, bookings or other external content.
5. Review-related QR kits
Some QR Kit Studio products or subtypes may help you create QR materials that point to review pages, including Google Reviews or other review platforms.
Reviews submitted through a third-party review platform are submitted to and processed by that platform, not by QR Kit Studio. We do not collect, store, host, moderate, edit, verify, display, approve, reject or remove those reviews.
We have no control over whether a review can be submitted, whether a review appears publicly, whether a review remains visible, whether a platform removes, filters or changes the display of a review, the rating, content, sentiment, language or accuracy of any review, or any action taken by a platform in relation to your business listing, account, reviews or rating.
You are responsible for complying with all applicable review-platform rules and laws, including rules on fake reviews, incentivised reviews, review gating, impersonation, misleading review practices and unfair commercial practices.
We are not responsible for the content of reviews or for any consequences of reviews left about your business.
6. Acceptable use
You may only use QR Kit Studio for lawful purposes and for links, businesses, organisations, brands, profiles, projects or destinations that you are authorised to use.
You must not use QR Kit Studio:
- to impersonate another business, organisation or person;
- to create QR codes or materials for a business, brand, profile, project or destination you are not authorised to represent;
- to link to unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, misleading, abusive, discriminatory, infringing or malicious content;
- to distribute malware, phishing pages, scams, deceptive payment pages or other harmful destinations;
- to mislead users about where a QR code leads;
- to solicit fake, misleading, manipulated, incentivised or unlawful reviews;
- to violate the terms, policies or guidelines of any third-party platform;
- to interfere with, disrupt, overload, scrape, probe, attack or reverse-engineer the service;
- to bypass rate limits, payment flows, download restrictions, token expiry, watermarking or security controls;
- for any unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, abusive or unauthorised purpose.
We may suspend, restrict, block or refuse access to the service, downloads or generated materials if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, applicable law, third-party platform rules or our security requirements.
7. User-provided information
You are responsible for the accuracy, legality and suitability of any information you enter, paste, upload, select or submit when using QR Kit Studio, including URLs, business names, profile links, review links, contact information, branding choices, logos, text, colours, images, titles, calls to action, subtitles or other order details.
You must ensure that you have the necessary rights, permissions and authority to use any business name, brand, logo, image, text, link or other material that you provide.
We are not responsible for errors in generated files that result from incorrect, incomplete, outdated, unlawful or misleading information provided by you.
8. QR destinations and link accuracy
You are responsible for checking that the QR destination is correct before purchase and before printing, publishing or distributing any generated material.
If you use an auto-fill, business search, link resolver or similar feature, you must verify that the selected business, place, profile, URL or destination is correct.
Unless a product expressly includes editable or dynamic QR functionality, QR codes may be static. This means the encoded destination may not be changeable after generation.
We are not responsible if you select the wrong business, paste the wrong URL, use an outdated link, or distribute materials before testing the QR code.
9. No guarantee of results
QR Kit Studio helps you create technical and design materials based on QR codes. We do not guarantee that using QR Kit Studio will result in more reviews, better ratings, improved ranking, increased visibility, increased traffic, increased sales, increased customer engagement, successful payments, bookings, followers, leads or any other particular business outcome.
Your results depend on many factors outside our control, including your business, customers, marketing, location, third-party platforms, linked content and how you use the generated materials.
10. Payments
Paid QR kits and digital products are purchased as one-time digital products at the price shown at checkout. The current standard price may be US$14.90, unless a different price, currency, discount or offer is shown at checkout.
Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider shown at checkout. We do not store your full payment card details.
Prices are shown during checkout. Unless stated otherwise, prices are charged in the currency shown during checkout. Any applicable taxes, fees or currency conversion charges may depend on your location, payment method and payment provider.
A purchase is completed when the payment provider confirms successful payment.
11. Delivery of digital content
After successful payment, the selected QR kit or digital product is generated and made available as a digital download.
Generation usually takes a short time, but processing times may vary depending on the selected product, technical load, third-party services and operational factors.
The standard product currently includes clean files without watermark in PDF, PNG and JPG formats, as described on the product page or checkout page at the time of purchase.
You are responsible for providing correct information, including the correct URL, destination, business information, profile, link, title, call to action, colours and selection, before purchase. Generated files are created based on the information provided or selected during the order process.
You should download and safely store your files after purchase. We may limit download availability, download count, download duration, token validity or access to generated files for security, abuse-prevention and operational reasons.
If the product page states that re-download is available for a specific period, such as 30 days, re-download access is limited to that period unless we expressly state otherwise.
12. Right of withdrawal for digital content
The QR kit and downloadable files are digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium.
If you are a consumer, you generally have a statutory right of withdrawal. However, for paid digital content, this right expires before the end of the normal withdrawal period if all legal requirements are met, in particular if:
- we have begun performance of the contract;
- you have expressly agreed that we begin performance before the withdrawal period expires;
- you have confirmed your knowledge that your right of withdrawal expires once performance begins; and
- we have provided you with the required confirmation in accordance with § 312f BGB.
This is based on § 356 (6) BGB.
At checkout, before generation or download begins, we may require you to give this express consent and acknowledgement separately.
Because the QR kit is generated and delivered digitally, purchases are generally non-refundable once generation or download has started and the statutory withdrawal right has expired, except where required by law or where the download fails due to a technical issue attributable to us.
If a download fails for technical reasons attributable to us, contact us at contact@domu.studio. We may provide a replacement download or, where appropriate, a refund.
13. Withdrawal function for consumer contracts
Where required by law, we provide consumers with an electronic withdrawal function or withdrawal button for online contracts. Information about how to exercise the right of withdrawal will be made available before purchase and, where required, through the relevant withdrawal function on our website.
14. Licence to use generated materials
After full payment, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide licence to use the generated QR kit and downloadable materials for your own business, organisation, project or authorised use.
You may use the generated files for:
- printing posters, table tents, cards, stickers, decals, signs, door hangers, receipt slips or similar materials;
- displaying QR codes in your premises, at events, in vehicles, on counters, on packaging or in other physical locations;
- sharing digital graphics online, on websites, in email and on social media;
- using the materials in your own marketing, communication or customer-facing materials.
You may not:
- resell, sublicense, redistribute or commercially exploit the generated kit as a standalone product;
- sell the templates, designs, QR codes or downloadable files to third parties as your own product;
- claim exclusive ownership of the design system, templates or generated assets;
- use the materials for a business, brand, profile, project, destination or link you are not authorised to represent;
- use the materials in a misleading, unlawful, infringing, fraudulent or policy-violating way.
15. Intellectual property
All content, designs, templates, layouts, software, code, branding, workflows, previews and other materials provided by QR Kit Studio are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.
Except for the limited licence granted to you for generated materials after purchase, no rights are transferred to you.
You retain responsibility for any content, logos, names, links, text, images or other materials that you provide. By submitting such materials, you grant us the limited right to process them for the purpose of providing the service, generating previews, creating your files, delivering downloads and fulfilling your order.
16. Third-party services and technical dependencies
QR Kit Studio may depend on third-party services, including payment providers, hosting providers, email providers, analytics providers, QR-code libraries, map services, review platforms, social media platforms, business data providers, APIs and other technical infrastructure.
These third-party services may change, restrict, suspend or discontinue their services at any time.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service, uninterrupted access to third-party APIs or data, the accuracy or completeness of information returned by third-party services, that a specific third-party URL will continue to work, that a generated QR destination will remain valid permanently, or that a QR code will work if the underlying URL changes, expires, is removed or becomes unavailable.
We may modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of QR Kit Studio at any time.
17. Print and display quality
You are responsible for testing your QR codes before printing, distributing or publishing them.
We are not responsible for printing errors, poor print quality, damaged materials, incorrect placement, unsuitable materials, scanning problems caused by size, contrast, lighting, surface, distance, camera quality, third-party printing providers or other factors outside our control.
Product previews may not exactly match final printed output because colours, dimensions, scaling and materials can vary depending on screens, printers, paper, production methods and print settings.
18. Security and abuse prevention
We may apply security and abuse-prevention measures, including but not limited to rate limits, download limits, token expiry, IP-based restrictions, checkout abuse prevention, webhook verification, fraud checks, logging of security-relevant events and blocking suspicious or abusive requests.
You must not attempt to bypass these controls.
We may deny access, cancel downloads, refuse orders, block requests or suspend service access where we reasonably suspect abuse, fraud, security risk, unlawful activity or violation of these Terms.
18a. Usage measurement
Where you have accepted analytics cookies, we measure use of QR Kit Studio with our own first-party analytics and with Google Analytics. This covers page views, in-app events, traffic source, approximate location, and device, browser and screen information, in pseudonymous form. Details, legal bases and your options are described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
19. Availability and maintenance
We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee that QR Kit Studio will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted.
Temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, updates, security measures, hosting issues, third-party outages, technical problems or factors outside our control.
We are not liable for temporary unavailability unless liability is mandatory under applicable law.
20. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, mandatory statutory liability, or any other liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are liable only for damages caused by intent or gross negligence.
In cases of slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of material contractual obligations. Material contractual obligations are obligations whose fulfilment is necessary for the proper performance of the contract and on whose compliance you may regularly rely. In such cases, our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or business-outcome-related damages, including but not limited to lost reviews, lost ratings, lost revenue, lost profits, lost customers, reputational damage, reduced search visibility, lost bookings, failed payments, lost leads, third-party platform actions, removal or non-publication of third-party content, suspension or restriction of third-party accounts, printing costs, reprinting costs, or failure of external links or platforms.
21. Consumer rights and statutory warranty rights
If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects mandatory consumer protection rights that cannot be excluded or limited by contract.
This includes statutory rights relating to defective digital products or digital content, where applicable.
If mandatory laws in your country of habitual residence provide stronger consumer protection, those mandatory rules remain unaffected.
22. Termination
You may stop using QR Kit Studio at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access to the service if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, use the service for unlawful or abusive purposes, continued access would create legal, technical, security or reputational risk, or we are required to do so by law or by a third-party service provider.
Sections that by their nature should continue to apply after termination remain in effect, including provisions on licence restrictions, payment, intellectual property, liability, governing law and dispute resolution.
23. Changes to the service
We may update, improve, modify, restrict or discontinue features of QR Kit Studio at any time.
We may also change the design, format, content, pricing or availability of free and paid features.
If changes materially affect a paid purchase already completed, this does not affect your statutory rights.
24. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on our website with a new "Last updated" date.
Updated Terms apply to future use of QR Kit Studio and future purchases. Completed purchases remain governed by the Terms that applied at the time of purchase, unless a change is required by law or is more favourable to you.
25. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country of the consumer's habitual residence remain unaffected.
If you are a merchant, legal entity under public law or special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction is Cologne, Germany.
26. Consumer dispute resolution
We are not willing or obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
